My work steps into the realm of fantasy in most cases, the themes of which have always been a favorite of mine. I work with a range of subjects including but not limited to humanoid races, vehicles, horses, landscapes, vast cities, small villages and plant life. I have created monsters both wonderful and dark, and have taken the stereotypical ideas of fantasy races and skewed them to be something more unique and personal. The defining element of my work is my command of light and shadow to varying degrees of complexity, a wonderful tool for setting the tone and mood of my work, easily customizable for a variety of situations. My style tends to lean more toward stylized realism, though I put forth a lot of effort in designing characters to look appealing in a cartoon fashion while still retaining their realistic human features to make them relatable on an emotional level.
