Art was my first love. When I started college I had initially planned on majoring in the arts, but life doesn't always go as we plan. After graduating with two bachelor's degrees in social sciences, I chose to go in a different direction and focus on art again. During college I spent a year working at an art museum and was reminded of how much I missed having art in my life. I have taken formal classes in oil painting, watercolor, jewelry making, drawing, digital photography, and open studio painting. I have since fallen in love with abstract painting. I use both acrylics and oils, and will incorporate paper collages into mixed media pieces as well. My paintings tend to include both simple and complex patterns that can make beautiful backgrounds or prints. I also make custom signs using wooden letters and my acrylic pours. I am open to selling any of my original paintings or painting something that is specially made for you. I can work off of an idea, theme, name, or color scheme as an inspiration or you can be more involved in the process of planning out a custom piece of art that will be just right for you.
