I have years of experience working via telephone, email, and live chat with various companies remotely and independently without any or very little supervision within the customer service field. My role was to act as a link between clients and customers and the organization. I was the front line of support for clients and customers and I helped ensure that the customers were satisfied with various products, services, and features. The skills that I improved on along the way as a customer assistant is great communication skills and active listening skills, being confident and the ability to remain patient and calm in difficult or stressful situations, paying close attention to detail, anticipating the needs of others, problem-solving skills and having the ability to think quickly, following company policies and procedures while still trying to keep the customer satisfied, work well independently as well as a team, sales experience, how to sympathize and express empathy, and being initiative among other skills. My job duties included a combination of answering customer inquiries or passing them on to the appropriate department, giving information and helping to solve customer problems, selling product or service, taking orders, and payments, arranging services for customers, processing complaints and issuing refunds if applicable, taking information from customers and entering it on a database, and making sure that the customer's experience is a positive one among other things.
