For the past year, I have been working as a software developer and data analyst at a non-government organization in Skopje, Macedonia where I have gained valuable insight on how a successful company operates. My daily job tasks were data gathering, data mining, data analysis and data visualizations. In december 2016, I completed my master degree in Software Engineering & Telecommunication and my master thesis project was created under the title ‘Supporting data-driven journalism through analysis of the public e-procurement data in Macedonia’. Additionally, in 2014 I partcipated in a Erasmus Exchange study programme at the University of Twente for a period of 6 months and successfully completed all courses. Also I hold a bachelor degree in Business Informatics from the South East European University in Skopje, Macedonia. During my work experience I have been busy with data gathering, data mining, data analysis and data visualizations. For the data scraping processes I have been using Scrapy, Python and other free available software tools such as Import.io, Outiwit Hub and Tabula. Regarding the data analysis processes I have used R, Excel and MSSQL as tools. The software applications that I built for the data visualizations projects, were developed by using the ASP.NET framework (web forms) and MSSQL for the databases. For the design I have used HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap, while for the back-end I have used the C# programming language. Additionally for development of the visualization projects I have also used the free-available software tools: Tableau, Infogr.am, Piktochart, QlikView, Vis.js, GoogleCharts, HighCharts. Most of the developed visualizations were: column charts, bar charts, line charts, treemaps, bubble charts, link analysis, graph charts, sankey diagrams etc. I pay close attention to details and I have the ability to stay focused on the task at hand for long periods in order to get the job done.
