I am a full-time student at Duke University. I currently work in their high-paced costume shop. While this job requires that I am adept at sewing, crafting, and designing, what I really learn on the job is independence, thinking on the spot, efficiency, and time management. In a busy costume shop, my manager doesn't always have time to direct everybody, so I am often given the job of supervising other students.While my artistic skills consist of drawing, painting, crafting, and sewing, I am an proficient computer user as well. I am capable of data entry, document writing, online researching, troubleshooting, and various other computer tasks. I also have experience in audio transcribing for a court reporting company.I am a bilingual Japanese-American.
