Position- Data Migration Project Manager
Location- Seattle
We are looking to fill a Data Migration leader ASAP! This individual should be more of a leader/driver (like a TPM) and has technical background. Maybe more of a Data Migration Technical Project Manager.
The successful candidate will lead all aspects of Data Migration related to a new system implementation. This includes team leadership, ETL processes, data quality/cleansing, reconciliation, archiving, organizing conversion data volumes for performance, cutover planning and execution, and risk mitigation. In short, a strong balance of leadership and domain technical skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership (FTEs, contractors, and system vendor resources)
- ETL configuration and execution ownership
- Archiving strategy and execution ownership
- Data cleansing (Master & Transaction Data ) strategy and execution ownership
- Data reconciliation and validation; particularly financial data
- Partnering with the core system vendor and their team to orchestrate and assign work
- Partnering with the PMO to incorporate schedule related items and update the master project plan as needed.
- Quantify (probability & impact) & mitigate assigned risks
- Prepare routine status to PMO
- Calculate migration throughput and performance. Propose recommendations and options for improvement as needed.
- Partner with Product Management to verify and obtain approvals as needed
- Provide de-identified data to testing teams
Experience required: - (7+ yrs) Exceptional people leadership skills on a large-scale dynamic program
- (5+ yrs) Demonstrated Data Migration leadership in a similar role with a $30M+ new system implementation
- (3+ yrs) Demonstrated vendor management skills
- (3+ yrs) Deep knowledge and experience with ETL tools
- (1+ yrs) Using Azure ADO ticketing system
- Extraordinary communication skills (verbal & written)
- Rapid problem-solving and elevated logic and reasoning skills
