Dear Hiring Manager, This is to express my interest in an open position of Power BI expert. I am confident that my experience and skill-set will prove to be an effective match to the qualifications required for the job. I have done Master of Engineering in Cyber Security at University of Maryland College Park. During my graduate studies, I was exposed to the most advanced analytics and visualization tools in order to analyze security data. I have strong academic background in IT Security, data analysis and data visualization. I worked for a Higher Education Industry for more than a year as a data visualization and Cyber Security expert. I mostly use Power BI for analytics and visualization. I have used power BI to link data to the online sources for automatic updates. I have been working with a great deal of data. For example, one of my data sets for Intrusion Detection System has more than 5 million rows in it. I have used Power BI to combine binaries and write conditions on it. Also, I have been using Power BI for cross relation between multiple excel files. I have created a significantly large dashboard for the company which represents data of more than 2500 csv files. I have created dynamic reports with Power BI so that users can control what they would like to see from the data and in what time frame by just selecting values from the slicer. I am very much comfortable with DAX syntax in Power BI. I have used DAX extensively in order to create/calculate measures/columns from available data. The calculated measures and columns helps displaying data that are not available directly from the raw data. Also, I have trained my colleagues on using Power BI to create their weekly and monthly reports. Leveraging Power BI for creating reports and dashboard made the process very efficient and effective for my colleagues as well. I have expertise in both Power Bi desktop and web version. I am an active participate in Power BI community which helps me stay up to date with the new features, problems and solutions related to the Power BI. I have experience in resolving most of the error that users of Power Bi faces during data refresh.
