I am a business owner and I subcontracted some work to Mark. Mark performed overall excellent work. I had many quotes on guru, many of which were much cheaper but Mark was the only one who asked the right questions BEFORE giving a quote. He asked the questions that revealed a depth of understanding of the project requirements that the other competitors did not ask. They were questions that I had not thought of as his client - a true test of capabilities. I feel in many cases going with the cheapest bidder only ends up costing you more, because it takes more of YOUR time, which is valuable.
The work was performed exactly to specifications and expectations were met. Due to the proliferation of 5 star ratings on guru.com, and me being skeptical i wanted to explain what it means.
Technical Skill - 5 - There was never a shortage of technical understanding, technical capacity was never a barrier, Mark possessed all of the knowledge necessary to perform the task
Communication - 5 - Mark asked the right questions throughout the process to clarify
Creativity - 4 - The project didn't really require creativity so i cannot put a 5 here, we built a very specific set of requirements which were met
Timeliness - 4 - A 5 here would mean i received the output before I would have expected, things took a little longer but had a negligible impact on the project as a whole.
Overall I would make a strong recommendation to anyone who needs Mark’s services. Feel free to contact me for any additional info.
