DevOps Engineer is involved in the full lifecycle of an application. - DevOps Engineers are responsible for the design and implementation of applications- build, release deployment, and configuration activities. Key Tools: MongoDB : Documents databases and collections, MongoDB operations in shell, replication setup, monitoring replication and normal deployments, backup and restoring of data, authentication, and authorization in mongodb, building queries. Elasticcache, Memcached and Redis: server implementation, replication and failover setup of Memcache, AWS elasticcache with both Redis and Memcached flavors. CDN/Caching : Configuration management and monitoring of CDN performance, security alerts, reporting and performance tuning, local level caching using Apache/ngnix and varnish. Linux: Administration, performance tuning and server hardening, scripting in any bash/python/perl, implementation of SNMP and SNMP traps, monitoring system like Nagios. DevOps Tools: Configuration and maintenance of tools like SVN, GIT, JIRA, Jenkins and Ansible. Public clouds - AWS, Google, Azure ELK Stack: Elasticsearch, logstash implementation, basic query syntaxes, backup and restoration of elasticsearch index and data. MySQL : Performance tuning, server hardening, DB Engines, AWS RDS, MySQL Administration and tools, DB backup and restore, DB replication, SQL commands, procedures and triggers.
