I am a digital media specialist based in Brooklyn, raised in Southern California, spending nearly a decade in the Midwest in between. Writing is my first love, but I am also an avid consumer of journalism. As someone who attended journalism school during the rise of digital media, I am among the first wave of media specialists to be raised online. During my time at the University of Nebraska, I helped turn a fledgling satirical newspaper into a campus institution by leveraging new opportunities in the digital space. Our online readership was so robust that I was hired on by the university’s traditional newspaper to revolutionize their digital focus, and help them transition from being a print-first publication to a digital-first news outlet. In the time I was on staff our daily web-traffic nearly doubled. Since then, I’ve worked in corporate and government relations, and in my spare time I’ve taken a leadership role in helping craft communications strategies for progressive political clients. But no matter the organization, I create individualized strategies that amplify their digital presence. If you’re looking to improve (or create) your digital presence, let’s talk.
