Hi, my name is Derek and I am the cofounder of Willum Henry Imaging. I have over twenty years experience working in photography and digital imaging. I have managed digitization and digital imaging jobs at universities and museums and have digitized objects in the hundreds of thousands and processed derivative creation in the millions of images. My strengths are in photo editing, image processing, and digital asset management. Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One are my main tools however I occasionally use command line and open source softwares such as Image Magick and Gimp. I ran the last existing Kodachrome processor right out of high school and after undergrad I spent the next ten years working with a National Geographic photographer before I began my career in academia. I have experience with photography, multispectral imaging, photogrammetry, and have used nearly every type of consumer and professional grade scanner, planetary scanner and most reprographic systems currently out. I am trained with federal and international imaging standards such as FADGI, Metamorfoze, and ISO 19264-1 for scientific or technical imaging and reproducing faithful representations of objects across shared institutions and digital repositories. I have handled and digitized some of the worlds rarest and most important cultural heritage objects.
