JOB PURPOSE
To serve patients by preparing and dispensing medications, giving pharmacological information to multidisciplinary health care team, monitoring patient drug therapies and ensuring that the hospital inventory is well managed through provision of adequate pharmaceuticals, non-pharmaceuticals and general supplies. Provision of high quality and cost-effective products at the warehouse level is my responsibility devoid of overstocking and short expiry items.

HEAD OF PHARMACY/WAREHOUSE MANAGER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development, implementation and monitoring of SOPs, process flows and policies for both pharmacy and warehouse department.
- Inventory control for the whole organization
- Preparation of external requisitions for all medical supplies
- Approval of all external requisitions before processing by the procurement department
- Play an advisory role to procurement department when procuring medical supplies.
- Secretary to the Drugs and Therapeutics committee.
- Controlling medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions
- Complete pharmacy operational requirements
- Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests from health care professionals and patients.
- Complying with pharmacy and poisons laws as regulated by Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
