I am a Ph.D. environmental science student assessing the different physical methods used to measure open (fresh) water evaporation. The main aim is to develop a simpler spreadsheet-based model that calculates daily and sub-daily evaporation rates using different measured micrometeorological variables. Climate change is considered as well. Masters was based on modeling the influences of climate change on the commercially grown maize crop in South Africa. This involved applying expected future changes in rainfall and temperatures and assess how the changes in climate would affect maize yields through modeling. Honors degree I did in Hydrology whilst the undergraduate degree in Hydrology and Soil Science. I have also worked with undergraduates. This involved supervising projects, aiding in writing reports, project assessments (grammar check, proofreading, cohesive writing..) I have a strong background in writing project proposals and academic articles. My strong point is research and having to critically assess information prior to documenting it according to the client's wishes within the stipulated time. Though I am in the scientific field, I believe the experience has taught me enough skill to tackle topics or projects that may require research and writing from any other field. I have experience with helping university students with research, project writing as well as providing extra services regarding producing a quality piece of written work.
