Drop shadow is a visual effect that makes the image look like it has a shadow and creating the impression that the object is slightly elevated from its background. Therefore it makes the image look more natural to our eyes. Drop shadow effect is actually created by making a black gray copy of the object and placing it on a slightly different position. Realistic effects can be achieved by darkening the pixel colors where the shadows are cast, instead of making them grey. Softening the edge of the shadows with Gaussian Blur will make the shadow appear more realistic. Have a look at the Drops Shadow section to have more idea about my works. Mirror effect is almost as same as the drop shadow but with a clear reflection of the product rather than any shadow. It will appear that the product is kept slightly elevated on shiny surface and there is reflection of the product on the shiny surface. Shiny product images like jewelry, watches and diamond images will look lot more lively & attractive with a reflection effect rather than a plain background.
