I was trained in proofreading at university and went on to be the Assistant Editor at Orca Publications who produce surfing magazines, books and online content. After five years I left to pursue my PhD in Creative Writing. I have continued to use my skills in my own work, also helping undergraduate students, and working part time in an office proofreading local authority procedural content. I have experience of editing fiction and non-fiction books, magazines and online copy.
