You can rely on me to turn your manuscript from a diamond-in-the-rough to a sparkling jewel. My projects include books on business, finance, self-help, inspiration, and fiction. Many of my clients’ books are category bestsellers on Amazon.com.
When I’m your book editor, I use the Word edit tracker so that you can instantly see my corrections and accept or reject them. I customarily use the Chicago Manual of Style, but if you prefer another I am happy to oblige. Your authorial voice is unique and I will always preserve it or, if possible, enhance it.
Book Editing
Here are a few levels of book editing that I offer my clients.
A full edit means that I work in partnership you to develop and shape the text and the content of your book.
A copy edit means that I will look at every aspect of your document. Does it make sense? Is it readable? I may re-write sections or suggest major changes. The “five Cs” summarize the copy editor's job: Make the copy clear, correct, concise, comprehensible, and consistent. I can also provide basic formatting services.
A line edit is when I ensure that every sentence reads properly, but I’m not addressing larger issues of theme or continuity.
Proofreading
When you have a finished book or document, I provide professional proofreading services to check for mistakes of grammar and spelling, to fact check, and to correct typographical errors. I will not interject my editorial opinion about the content of your work.
Hopefully, your book will be read by thousands of people. It’s your reputation and your name on the cover. It’s worth it to make sure that every word is perfect.
You can rely on me to provide the highest quality ghostwriting, book editing, and proofreading. I invite you to contact me to discuss how I can help you bring your project to completion!
