Therefore, a well-written work I may be able to "proof" in 5 to 10 min. / page (i.e., 6-12 pgs. / hour or 8-16 hrs./ 100 pgs.--or faster), whereas a more fully editing-requiring work may take a half hour or more to "straighten out" a page, and therefore, may end up taking a much slower rate of 1-2 pages / hour. A brief preview of the project can usually give me an idea of what level of editing may be needed.
