Editor, Manager and Content Consultant

Although I have been writing all my life, I have been working as an editor for over a decade. A background in newspaper, magazine and web content experience has given me a strong grasp of AP-style writing guidelines and proficient editing. I am a native English writer, but I can also write and edit content using UK and AU English. Another skill I possess is being able to create content ideas in the form of engaging titles, article descriptions and resource URLs for writers to use. I have writing team management experience, too, mostly with teams of 10 or less members. The many types of content I have worked with include blog posts, infographics, newsletters, social media posts and video scripts. I also write and edit extended list posts and how to articles on everything, from health, wellness and fitness, to finance, marketing and investing. I have a graphic/commercial arts background and am a photographer with published images in magazines and newspapers, and on websites, so I have a sharp eye for design. Once my children were all in school, I returned to college and was able to graduate with honors and a 4.0 degree in English and Computer Applications as Class Leader. A three-year stint with Community Newspaper Company after that gave me some strong writing, editing, researching and AP-style skills. I am proficient in WordPress and other publishing platforms. I am also a U.S. Vietnam-era veteran who is mature, dependable and reliable. I speed read and can keyboard at 80 to 90 wpm with accuracy.
