My name is Melissa and I am a graduate from Rutgers University that has a strong passion for language and literature. I have three degrees: an Associates in International Studies, a Bachelors in English Literature, and a Bachelors in East Asian Languages and Cultures with a concentration in Japanese. As an English major, my love of literature grew exponentially as I explored various types of literature from spanning numerous time periods and countries around the world. The majority of my college career was spent analyzing, critiquing and reading literature of various types, including novels, essays, short stories and articles. With strong writing and communication skills, I received high praise for my academic writing abilities. I also assisted my peers with my editing and proofreading skills by providing productive feedback and support during periods of peer review and support. I have a strong interest in helping others to produce quality written works, ranging from academic to creative writing. Not only can I provide proofreading services to make sure that your writing is error free, but I can also provide constructive criticism to aid you in the writing process, if desired. In addition to my strong background in English literature, I also have an extensive knowledge of Japanese literature and culture. I studied Japanese for three years and have worked with Japanese literature and media. I am passionate about translation, and, as such, have developed strong communication skills. As I primarily work with Japanese to English translation, I have a very strong command of the English language as I work to ensure accurate, yet up to date translations.
