From 2011 to the present, I have been developing my own sustainability consulting company, Ecotopian Enterprises LLC (ecotopianenterprises.com), through which I consult with events intending to enhance their environmental performance, without compromising their unique cultural elements or geographic location. Before founding Ecotopian Enterprises, from 2007 through 2011 I worked as an environmental consultant with ATC Associates, a nationwide environmental consulting firm. I worked for ATC in New York City full time and then part time in Boston during graduate school at Tufts. From ATC, I learned valuable skills such as writing and editing professional technical reports, and performing environmental services including: environmental site assessments and investigations, indoor air quality monitoring and assessment, soil and groundwater testing, building inspections, and mold assessments. My work with ATC required me to employ excellent communication, analysis, editing, writing, and project management skills, and to be able to tend to a wide variety of clients and issues. From 2009-2012, I performed remote writing, editing and photography services for a successful music, art and culture website, Lostinsound.org. For LostinSound I wrote music festival reviews, album review, and artist spotlights, and edited colleagues’ pieces of similar nature. While writing and editing for LostinSound was a worthwhile endeavor, in 2012 I resigned from service in order to instead concentrate on event independent contracting work through my own independent contracting company, Ecotopian Enterprises. I possess a Master of Arts degree in Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning from Tufts University. While at Tufts, I wrote numerous research papers on topics including Developing Sustainable Communities, Climate Change Policy & Planning, Water Resources Policy & Planning, Land Use Planning, Foundations of Public Policy & Planning, and Fundamentals of US Agriculture.
