I have been employed as an AutoCAD Fire Alarm
Designer for the past 12 years. I have been working in the Fire Alarm industry for the past 30 years.
I started my career as a draftsman for Standard Electric Time (later bought by
Johnson controls) in March of 1978. I have worked for various employers as a
designer, project manager and sales person.
I am extremely proficient in AutoCAD fire
alarm design. Currently I am studying for a NICET Certification (Level 2). I
know most aspects of fire alarm systems including programming, addressing and
the wiring involved to make a system work. Additionally, I am highly
knowledgeable in reading and interpreting electrical, sprinkler and mechanical
design drawings for coordination with fire alarm systems.
