I am good at thinking about the bigger picture, about the best tool for the job; not just the one that everyone else is using, but the best fit from start to finish - including future maintenance by other developers and scope changes as well. I have been in love with programming in all forms since I was a child and for the last 10 years have held various programming positions from entry level web developer, to embedded engineer, to senior programmer / analyst. My strengths include the ability to see the bigger picture, while understanding the analytics of the process as well. I do not find myself stuck in "over analyze" mode and instead realize that there is a customer, business process, or scientific reason for the software needed. The idea that there is always a best tool for the job is key in how I program; I find my strengths within the Perl language, but understand that Java may be better, etc. I am also not afraid to admit where and when I do not kno
