Project #1. Application Purpose: Develop a web based, database-driven application to allow installers to enter training, logistic, and implementation information to access over the web. Role: Sole Programmer and Database Developer. Tasks: Converted an Access database into a fully functional, dynamic Intranet site for 100+ users. Used MTS (Microsoft Transaction Server) to write DTS (Data Transaction Services) scripts to import the data from Microsoft Access into SQL Server. Used the existing Access database as a guideline for developing the new application, and designed it using HTML, CSS, Visual Basic Script, and Java Script technologies. Incorporated client side form validation, to adhere to business rules and ensure data intergrity. Developed the new database using SQL Server and wrote the SQL queries for database updates.
