I graduated from Uppsala University’s bachelor programme in Peace and Development Studies in June 2015; and am currently completing my Masters Degree in Media, Peace and Conflict Studies at the UN mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica, graduating in June of this year. My passion for writing about international affairs has led me to contribute as a writer since 2014 for Uppsala Association of International Affairs in Uppsala’s online and print magazine Uttryck. I wrote articles on topics such as terrorism, racial and gendered aspects in media coverage of political violence, and socioeconomic development. Currently I am also a communications and media intern with Vayando which includes work in field, partnership, coordination, and marketing capacities. My tasks as an intern with Vayando include independently delivering various forms of media pieces, including blog posts, news articles for national and international press, and multimedia pieces such as videos, photographs, profiles and interviews for Vayando’s webpage. I monitor social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, among others. As a young professional, I am independent, curious and ambitious. I am flexible and a quick learner and thrive on challenges. Regardless of the task, I will always perform it with precision and a keen eye for detail. I give my very best to every project. I am fluent in English, Swedish and Finnish. I have a special expertise in sports and health related fields, as I am passionate about these topics and they are part of my everyday life!
