- Analyzing the technical specifications, contract and project scope of work and ensure compliance - Providing design and build-ability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques - Planning the variation strategy in cooperation with Technical Manager/ Project Manager - Prepare balance orders based on available materials in stock and factory - Prepare, check and approve material orders - Planning and monitoring the drawing submission schedule in cooperation with the client according to the contract, project schedule, factory and site requirements - Developing with the design team the concept drawings, shop drawings and fabrication drawings to meet the project requirement / specification - Prepare and corrdinate with aluminum extruder die profiles - Submit installation and as-built drawings - Planning and monitoring the design budget in cooperation with the Technical Manager - Managing a team of six façade engineers - Providing technical advice and assessment on all kind of material components related to the company's project works to ensure compliance with the project specification - Reviewing all drawing submissions prior to submittal - Ensure the drawings, calculations and engineering submissions gain client approval prior to production submission and site installation and final submission with as-built condition as per contract programme - Co-ordinate, describe and arrange mock-ups / performance testing to meet the contract requirement - Ensure that all technical information and drawings for the project are issued on time for both production and installation - Work closely with site personnel to monitor the installation works and make sure that they are erected in accordance to the drawings and project specification - Lead the client interface for the design element of the project - Attend technical meetings for the Project, in-house and on Site - Initiate necessary corrective and preventive action for the non-conformances in design - Attend meetings with the façade, acoutic and fire consultants in order to close any issue related to the performance and design of the façade - Preparing structural layouts, calculations and reports - Development of typical details and drawings and explaining the same to other engineers and technical team leaders - Analysis and designing of façade elements i.e. unitized curtain walls, stick curtain walls, structural glazing, skylights, suspended glass, GRC cladding, aluminum cladding, sliding windows and doors, louvers, steel canopy, balustrades, etc. - Preparing movement reports for all types of façade systems in relation to the movement of the building (seimic, wind, slab deflection, column shortening, foundation settlement, etc.) - Analysis and designing of steel structure - Assisting tender and estimation team for quotation - Value engineering with respect to technical specification, architect and consultant requirements - Representing the company at design meetings with architects a
