My name is Issam Hammoud. I am an aspiring free lance translator. My area of expertise is in the realm of Arabic to English translation and vice versa. I possess impeccable command of both English and Arabic languages. I am a native Arabic speaker. I acquired my Arabic language skills from living in Lebanon for 10 years. Lebanon is known throughout the Middle East as the most multicultural and multilingual country among the Arab countries and as a result most Lebanese know Arabic, English and French. I built upon and developed my English language base after moving to Canada in my early teens where I know reside and work. I visit Lebanon regularly and read and write Arabic articles which helps to keep my Arabic language skills sharp. My background is in Environmental Science but I have found my true calling in the translation field. I developed my English language skills from living in Canada and from my university education which demanded good reading and writing in the English language. I wrote and read a plethora of scientific peer reviewed journals which are known for their complex, high level of English. Many translators on the this website will claim to provide a professional level of translation but they usually lack either Arabic or English skills.
