I have been a hobbyist coder for 1 year now. I can work with Html, Css, and Javascript. Moving on, I am also a Computer Science major at the University of the People. Here is how that correlates to me being an asset to you. As a CS major, I am forced to meet weekly deadlines. My school has very high standards about being punctual with these deadlines and does not allow do overs. If assignments are not submitted on time it results as a failure. All throughout my academic career I have learned independently. This means that I have a strong sense of initiative. My classses are online and I make my own schedule. This has taught very useful time management skills. Before I became a CS major, I had learned to code on my own. I learned through various online coding bootcamps like Codecademy, and FreeCodeCamp. As a CS major, I have developed the ability to solve problems through logical thinking, which is key in the development and design of algorithms. I may not have extensive experience or a long portfolio, but I do know what I am doing and most importantly, I know how to solve problems.
