I have 12 years of experience as an independent Environmental Health Practitioner and a law enforcer working for City of Johannesburg Municipality and National Department of Health (Port Health), with an important role to play in society, by ensuring that environments (specially built environments) in which people live, learn, and play are fit to promote and support health and safety. I was also appointed by Hollard Foundation as an Independent Environmental Health Consultant(Freelance) from January – June 2019 to conduct inspections and collect data at day care centres to provide support to the infrastructure component of Early Childhood Development Centres (ECDs), to assist with registrations and applications of relevant documentations such as land use consent, fire certificate, health permit and lay out plan design. I engage with all levels of government departments such as EMS, town planning, Department of Social Development, and environmental health in the local and provincial government for funding/grant purposes. I have initiated and managed different programs, such as Promoting Children's Environmental Health in Early Childhood Development Centres, Bogus Environmental Health Practitioners campaign, Educational awareness at waste recycling facilities. I have also designed educational materials and led a team in program planning and implementation. I have completed both my National Diploma and B-Tech Degree in Environmental Health with the Tshwane University of Technology. BSc. Honors in Environmental Management with UNISA and Graduate Diploma Engineering (Civil) with the University of Witwatersrand. I have knowledge and understanding of the National Health Act, National Environmental Management Acts, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 Implementation and OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 Auditing, HACCP, and Project Management.
