Accomplishments:• Created flood insurance rate maps (FIRMS) for FEMA which were used by insurance companies and individual property owners for money saving purposes. These FIRMS were used by communities to create procedures for flood hazard plans.• Assisted in the creation of river flood topology profiles for engineers who used the profiles to simulate flood situations for environmental flood hazard analysis. • Collaborated in the review of flood insurance studies created for communities. Flood insurance studies were created to help them determine their flooding risks and how to help monitor and mitigate various flood damage controls.
