Ajax's Erik ten Hag is now the overwhelming favorite to become the next Manchester United manager, but the appointment could be in danger of collapse with RB Leipzig also keen
Manchester United's plans to appoint Ajax boss Erik ten Hag could be in danger with RB Leipzig trying to hijack their bid.
United chiefs have been progressing with plans to appoint Ten Hag as the next permanent boss at Old Trafford after being impressed during interviews with the Dutchman. But the appointment could be set to fall apart, with Leipzig set to offer a bank-busting contract to the Ajax manager.
It also comes following reports that Ten Hag is prepared to snub the club if he is not given assurances that he will have the authority to put his own stamp on the club's playing squad. And the Red Devils have reportedly decided on a three-man transfer shortlist to solve their problems in midfield.
