We all deal with numbers in one way or the other. We all have daily expenses which we pay for from the monthly income that we earn. For one to spend wisely, they will need to know their income vs. expenditure. Microsoft Excel comes in handy when we want to record, analyze and store such numeric data.
MS Excel is also used widely in this 21st Century for data management and financial analysis by large companies and organizations around the world today, in advanced Excel skill Having worked freelance with a variety of offices, companies, governments and organizations both locally and internationally, i have come to realize why there is a high surge in the search for skillful data/database professionals who can efficiently manage large quantity of data and information.
In my experience so far using excel and other data management platforms, data entry has been the most tedious aspect of data management, other proceeding areas like data management, data manipulation, data analysis and data presentation has been made easy with recent versions of the software. These upgraded features helps data scientists to manage large amount of data in a short time through the use of logical functions such as:
- Logical & Arithmetic Operators
- Comparison Operators
- Conditional Statements
- Pivot tables, charts etc.
Educational Institutions, large companies as well as digital marketers today employ the services of data management professionals to work as full-time, part-time or freelance staffs just to manage and control the influx of data without getting things mixed up.
Companies also need to manage important data like their workers/Staff payroll, employee biodata, sales record etc. some advanced functions like the "Cubed" or 3D function comes in handy in a lot of aspects of data manipulation and analysis.
