If you created a live real time connected Excel sheet or Pivot Table you only need to click the button “Refresh Data” and the XL Reporting Service will retrieve all current data. If you applied formatting to your data prior, it will still be preserved. No need to re-format your reports repeatedly. If parameters were defined in the report object, clicking the “Refresh Parameter” button will ask you to enter new input parameters. Clicking the “Refresh Fields” button will refresh with the most recent field definition of the underlying query.
