I have seven years of experience as an editor, writer, and teacher. I've dedicated my life to language, and look forward to working on your project with you. Within the publishing community, I've worked with a variety of houses, working with A-list authors such as Joyce Carol Oates and Lee Child in an editorial and promotional capacity. Additionally, I've written for Kirkus Reviews, Foreword Reviews, and several "niche" magazines, for whom I typically reviewed self-published or independently published works. As a freelance editor, I've edited several novels to publication with either traditional houses or self-publication. On occasion, I've also written copy for local businesses, when requested to do so. I'm comfortable with academic writing, as well, having earned both my undergraduate and postgraduate degree from The University of Edinburgh, from which I graduated with honors. I'm comfortable with writing and research for a wide range of subjects within the humanities. Additionally, I've worked a variety of retail and customer support positions, from which I've gained an understanding of consumer need and desire. This, combined with an understanding of marketability and social media, has proved useful to said businesses, from smaller operations such as liquor stores to larger ones such as Postmates, where I currently am employed full-time.
