Welcome and good afternoon. A teacher, editor and writer: I have always had a passion for language and literature. So, all of my education had a connection with linguistics, the world of books, or creative writing. As an undergraduate, I completed a three-year bachelor’s degree in English, became an ESL teacher and then went to in several different countries. An an educator, I specialised in teaching task-based and EAP classes, as well as curriculum and programme development, reflective practice and teacher development. I returned to England for my postgraduate studies in 2015, where I graduated from the University of Manchester with a distinction grade in MA TESOL. My editing and proofreading ran concurrent to my teaching career, and I have extensive experience across multiple industries and genres. I assist ESL students with the creation of stand-out academic documents: university applications and entrance essays; cover letters, and CVs. For the last twelve months, I have been the editor for a China-based marketing group, and I am responsible for maintaining high standards across all of their published content: -Blog posts. Recently, one of our articles caught the attention of CNN, who contacted the employees for interviews and featured the content on their website. Other articles and posts have caught the attention of international companies and are creating new opportunities and garnering recognition for the marketing group. I am also an associate writer for the British Council’s ChinaNow website.
