In an attempt to confront the problem of low numbers of users, Meta , the owner of the most popular social networking site Facebook, revealed its intention to allow its users to create multiple accounts.
Facebook faces the problem of low numbers of users by allowing them to create additional profiles
According to technical reports, Facebook users will soon be able to create up to 4 additional profiles, which will be linked to the original account .
Previously, Facebook prohibited the operation of multiple personal accounts, and only allowed public and famous personalities to maintain multiple profiles, while allowing ordinary users to obtain a separate profile on its services, such as Facebook Dating and Facebook Campus.
Reports indicated that there will be some restrictions imposed on these additional new accounts, knowing that any violation committed by the owner of one of them will negatively affect the other accounts.
She explained that, for example, it will not be possible to use these new accounts to repeatedly like a post, claiming that the account is owned by several people, and therefore the user will not be able to like a post, except through one profile.
Facebook said that with this move, it hopes to give users the opportunity to create additional profiles for different aspects of their lives, such as one for family and friends, another for private and personal interests, a third for co-workers, and so on.
The reports pointed out that these new additional personal files do not need to display the true identity of the user who uses them.
