- Shane Tyree was born in July, 1979 in Detroit, Michigan. He attended several schools in and around Flint, MI. He has always drawn, painted and doodled, and decided at an early age that it was what he wanted to do. He has always been influenced by Fantasy and Sci-Fi, specifically the Fantasy novel cover art of the late 80's and 90's. Larry Elmore, Tom Baxa, Clyde Caldwell and others created art that transported the viewer into a colorful and fantastic world of camp, and high adventure. He still seeks that feeling of wonder in his work today. - His art has been featured in ImagineFX magazine, Big Iron Vault magazine as well as Murky Depths Magazine and other periodicals.
