Hey, my name is Edgaras and video editing is my passion from school times. Now it's not only passion, I look at this thing seriously and trying to work with different projects and study(Multimedia and Graphic Design at VGTU university) at the same time. How do I edit…well, I work first with technique…then passion and imagination! I love to build sequences(a series of shots that creates a series of visual images that shows the action). For example: if you are throwing the ball to the basket, the first should be a wide shot of stadium or other place where you play basketball, to the tight shot of your hands holding and throwing the ball. M. Knight Shyamalan is great director that uses this technique. This technique is allows the audience to engage with the visual story without even realizing it has happened. For the audio part i like to use sound to predispose the audience to what shot is about to come. If we have an old man story about his childhood and he talks about train tirp that plays a big role, then I will quetly bring the train sound at the end of the first shot and then BAM show the train shot with a jump cut. I dont have impressive After Effects skills, but I know when clip needs a big amount of effects and when you need to change only few main things, so your video wont look like edited a lot, it will be more natural and accurate.
