I've been editing full manuscripts for several years. I offer a range of editing styles, from developmental to line edits. As a writer myself, I LOVE editing and consider it a particular form of craft. I do a *minimum* of two reads, first on my Kindle and then in Word for the actual edits. My most standard edits are developmental and line-level, though I'm certainly not limited to the two! Developmental editing includes detailed feedback on your full manuscript, with great attention paid to character development, plot, pacing, setting, research, and style. When line editing, I gleefully scrutinize word choice, syntax, voice, rhythm, dialogue, and more. I, of course, also combine these styles, as well as offer alternative edits based on a client's needs. Rates vary per project, though they generally go from .007 a word to .02. Note: I can offer testimonials from writers I've worked with, if necessary. I haven't yet worked through Guru as I most frequently get my gigs through my author website, which I'm happy to direct potential clients to for review!
