Hello, My name is Robyn and I’ve have always had an intense fascination with stories and films. Ever since I could properly use a pencil, I was writing stories in a desperate attempt to articulate the imaginative images I was picturing in my mind. Once I was older, I realized that the only way I could properly construct a cohesive story the way my mind always pictured, was to become an editor. I am obsessed with nit picking through hours of footage for the diamond in the rough and putting each of those into a proper sequence, to help sculpt the product into the final draft that will be seen by audiences. Through out my college career thus far, I have developed basic skills using Premiere Pro, Avid, and Pro Tools through classes and side projects, but in developing such skills, have strengthened my ability to adapt efficiently to different editing software’s. I have also taken classes in Script Supervising along with putting those acquired skills to the test on student film shoots. I believe, as an editor, script supervising is a very important skill to have to be able to allow takes to be cut in post for an editor and to appreciate the easily cut footage I will receive when I am editing. Due to my experience as a writer and editor I have a firm grasp on telling an effective story, which can supply each cut and/or stylistic edit with the proper motivation, smoothly pulling the film’s story forward. I understand that in this business, generally, you need to begin at the bottom and crawl your way to the top. I am very ready to pay my dues and begin my career stuck in any corner of a film environment one may find room for me. As long as I am somewhere I can absorb as much knowledge as I can, learn as many aspects of the film process as possible, and communicate with people, I am more than happy to start at the bottom and work my way toward someday connecting with the right people and finally editing feature films alongside directors I have always
