For me, video editing is not just a job oportunity, but mostly my biggest hobby. I edited dozens of videos of different generes: - Short comedy videos. - Memorial videos for various nonprofit organizations. - Trailers for events for T-mobile or Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. - Music videos. Also for various artist. - Promo videos for free runners, wakeboardists, dancers and painters. - I also edit short videos just for my own amusement (re-editting movies, music videos, my friends road trips, star wars fan videos etc etc) I spend a lot of time finding new opportunities, because there are lot of people, who thinks they can edit videos properly (in this time of semi or full automatic programs for video editing) and it´s kind of hard to prove, that it´s just not as easy as it seems. I always think about what I am doing. I know the procedure of movie or video making (I ve been working as a assistant director for Czech TV, also as a member of production studio) so I know what I have to ask before I start the actual editing. I try to never repeat learned procedures, so every piece of work is original. However I remember every video I made, I am familliar with various generes and I try to learn new things every day to be able to edit a video tailored to the contracting authority. I think, that every video can be cutted to improve itself. No matter if it´s HD format for official uses, or if it´s just homemade video from birthday party, I always do my best.
