I consider Dan to be a consummate artist, both in talent and technical expertise. I asked him to emulate another artist's style while bringing together two very different looks, advancing the artwork to a more sophisticated level. I had wondered whether it was possible, but Dan proved it could be done. His final art is just superb--beautifully rendered and emotionally striking. And he aced the animation.
