The desire to craft bouquets roots from a very early age. As a little girl, I would plead for my parents to stop the car so I could pick a handful of flowering weeds (this hasn't changed, ask my husband). Afternoons were spent arranging flowers with my grandmother into old window frames to hang on the wall. I would spend hours with my other grandmother at the botanical gardens, stopping to smell every sweet-scented bud along the way. It was there that I was later engaged, and it was in the rolling Oregon hills filled with lavender and rose gardens that I spent my honeymoon. My sanctuary has always been in the presence of wildflowers. But it wasn’t until after my wedding that I captured this desire. Choosing to create my wedding bouquet awakened my soul. I saw my own heart in the array of blooms. The peace I felt in forming the bouquet created a thirst to make more. So, friend after friend, I began to create wedding bouquets. What task I thought might be stressful, was actually a complete joy. My desire to create your bouquet stems from this joy. Your bouquet should not just be a reflection of your color scheme, but a reflection of your heart. All good & beautiful things are grown from the dirt. My desire is that your bouquet would illustrate your story—your blossomed heart on your wedding day.
