I am a Saudi native who has extensively lived in both the United Kingdom and Saudi. I am currently in my final semester studying International Relations in Scotland. I have a proven background in the Medical sector thanks to my year-long employment as an emergency room receptionist. There, I interpreted for patients and medical staff. The experienced imparted an understanding of medical terminology. With that said, my interests are primarily the economics and politics of the Middle East. I have acted had a brief research assistantship at a Dubai-based think-tank. The exposure expanded my interests to the role of security in the Middle East; currently I am writing a paper exploring the contemporary Middle East regional security structure in order to asses its directions in the following 5-years. In addition to my research interests, I am currently translating a book from Arabic to English. It is written by a prominent Saudi sociologist, and analyses the issue of discrimination in Saudi Arabia's national context.
