FOOTBALL-MERCATO: Giovanni Simeone goes on loan to Naples

Author of a good season with Héllas Verona last season (17 goals in 35 appearances), the Argentinian striker Giovanni Simeone goes to Naples to be the understudy of the Nigerian Victor Osimhen. The Neapolitan club announced this Thursday its arrival in the form of a paying loan of 3.5 million euros with an option to buy up to twelve million euros. This clause will be automatically activated in case Napoli qualify for the next Champions League or if the Argentinian achieves individual goals. The son of Diego Simeone, the coach of Atlético Madrid, will discover his fifth Serie A club.
