I can offer several services that will turn your fiction, non-fiction, or technical piece into a ready to publish work.
Editing services include reviewing and preparing your work for final publication to provide a professional and coherent version of your work. Three types of editing are available. 1) Structural editing is available for a high-level examination of your publication that provides general feedback. 2) Heavy copy editing is available for works that require rewriting portions of technical publications, manuals, manuscripts, and websites to ensure uniform tense, level, tone, focus, flow, and layout. It also examines and corrects spelling, grammar, capitalization, word usage and repetition, usage of numbers, and descriptive inconsistencies. 3) Basic editing is available for mature technical publications, manuals, manuscripts, and websites with well developed content for level, tone, focus, flow, and layout. The basic copy edit examines and corrects spelling, grammar, capitalization, word usage and repetition, usage of numbers, tenses, and descriptive inconsistencies. For website content this edit includes examining external and internal hyperlinks.
Desktop publishing services include designing the page layout and the font and paragraph styles used in body text, chapter and section headings, page numbering, headers, and the table of contents. For publications with embedded graphics, the graphics are prepared for prepress print quality.
Proofreading services include providing a final review of your publication that ensures it is print-ready. It includes verifying correct formatting, page layout, page numbering, and consistency in text styles.
Self-Publishing services include the self-publishing of two types of publications. 1) Print book publishing includes formatting the book size to meet your preference, setting the binding type and paper quality, obtaining the ISBN unique identification number, and submitting the book for publication to the vendor. A proof of the printed copy is made and application of any required changes. 2) Ebook publishing includes formatting the book for digital publication, obtaining the ISBN unique identification number, and uploading book files to the ebook vendor. A proof of the ebook is made and application of any required changes.
