Performs maintenance on pumps (centrifugal and positive displacement), steam turbines, compressors (centrifugal and positive displacement), gearboxes (parallel shaft and right angle drive), hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, process loading arms, fans and blowers and drive systems associated with the equipment. Ensures that all personnel and equipment are working in a safe manner by following guidelines and procedures. Demonstrates ability to interpret mechanical drawings, equipment data books and maintenance manuals. Properly operates equipment being repaired in order to test, measure and monitor the rotating equipment.
