Hi there! So my name is Heidi, and I want to work for you if I can! I have experience in journalistic writing, copywriting, fashion journalism, article writing, opinion pieces, blogging and just about anything under the sun. I'm very versatile - but most importantly I am very quick - I can have a piece to you within three hours if needs be - which for sure sets me apart from other people. If you're wondering why it is that I got into freelancing - then here's the full story! I dropped out of Lancaster University (despite having been awarded the Academic Excellence Scholarship) because I wasn't happy. I felt, as a student in one of the country's top sixth forms, I had been conditioned into believing that university was the only option for me - but it is not. During my time there, I was gaining experience with graduate level internships and I decided that instead of wasting three years of my time and a hell of a lot of the government's money - that I should just give it all a go, and I'm so glad I did. Since then, I have worked as a blogger, journalist, writer and copywriter for big up-and-coming companies within their spheres. I have also begun my own blog on the applications and relevance of feminism in the modern era - ‘Love Me Gender’. This allows me to explore the multifaceted issues surrounding gender in our sociopolitical climate through both academic discussion and pop culture influences - such as hit Netflix series and personal experiences as a member of the youngest generation.
