I am a freelance writing with vast experience within the journalist industry as well as the creative writing industry. I have three years experience writing as a journalist for the non-profit organization Photographers Without Borders, and have applied the skills of interviewing, research investigation, building a narrative and focusing on deadlines. The organization is creative by nature and discusses the efforts of grassroots non-profits through the medium of photography. Two years ago I was promoted to editor, and aided in the editing and mentoring of the organizations journalists for the April 2017 edition of their bi-annual print magazine as well as the October 2017 issue. This meant paying keen attention to deadlines, making last minute adjustments, and working harmoniously in a team setting. I have written a plethora of articles for PWB's online blog, as well as fifteen plus extended pieces published in their magazine. Those articles are available upon request. Due to this experience, one of my photos was featured in the Contact Photo Festival in Toronto during the summer of 2017. I have had works published within the University of Toronto's creative writing magazine (2011, 2012) and won the Creative Writing Contest winner for Poetry in 2013. I also have had short stories and other poetic pieces published in Tower Poetry, (2010), Surfacing Pickering (2010), Open Minds Quarterly (Spring 2015, Summer 2015) and a snippet of a long piece published in Daniel Scott Tysdal's textbook on how to write poetry titled "The Writing Moment" (2014). A piece written about my experience as a PWB ambassador in Sumatra Indonesia and the efforts needed to create a sanctuary for the wildlife in the area will appear in the December 2017 issue of Wildlife Photographic. I currently am working as a full-time freelance writer, and photographer. I put my efforts into writing for a ghost writing company, as well as acting as an editor for the travelling website The Travelling Foot. I wrote about the upcoming powerhouse venue being built in Pickering Ontario, Durham Live, for the Durham Biz Magazine, published in their spring 2019 issue. I have two more upcoming articles that will be published in the magazine for their fall 2019 edition. One of my more recent photos will be published in a magazine called Rosette in September 2019. I also have experience having written, directed, and edited a short film that was shown at the University of Toronto Short Film Festival in 2019.
