One of the most appealing parts of the comic book to make a sale is the cover. A comic book cover is most of the time a showcase of the story and the heroes at the same time. A comic book is the identity of the book itself.

Most artists are making a huge difference in the quality of the book cover because it is the first thing we can see from the book and may invite people to buy or not. I personally consider the quality of it to be great but not different from the content's quality. So I make a comic book cover based on comic panel price with some extra colours or some extra texture and shadow gradients and maybe more people set up on a complicated background. Here is my step to create the cover:

- I make several settings of the scene as sketch suggestions to be approved by the client for $10 per sketch.

- After approval and choice of the client I make the lines cleaner, inked with more details to be approved as well for $35 (it may change depending on the scene details)
- Colouring of the scene after the client's approval: flats, local colours, shadows and lights, gradients, textures. (flats, local colour and shadows/lights will cost $15 then gradients and textures are $10 each) 

- Title design will be created after discussion with the client and will cost at least $15.

In total, a cover may cost from $75 to $115 but might be more depending on what the client is looking for.
