I am a highly motivated and young Furniture and Product Designer. I graduated in product design at IED (European Institute of Design) of Rome, Italy. During my studies, I specialised in Product Design, developing a preference for kitchen accessories, furniture and lighting. More recently, I further specialised by taking a course in furniture design and prototyping at Central Saint Martins College of Arts in London. In coherence with my studies, I have acquired experience working in two design studios based in London. During my internship at Morph, I contributed to the design and development of mainly kitchenware and garden furniture, from start to production in a team environment, for brands such as Joseph Joseph, Gardman and Jamie Oliver’s Jamie at Home. At Morph, I strongly improved my hand-sketching abilities and command of design software (SolidWorks, Rhinoceros and Vray, 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere). These skills were fundamental for my work as design assistant at Warm. The small size of that studio has been crucial for my professional development, as I had the chance to gain first-hand experience in all the steps of product design and development and the possibility to handle personally companies’ briefs. Besides maintaining contacts with manufacturers, exploring new possible ventures and researching on materials and trends, I contributed to the design of high-end furniture pieces and commercial products marketed under Warm’s brand. In addition, I designed lamps for brands such as Innermost and CB2, small home furniture for Swedese and coaches for Rolf Benz. Throughout my studies and working experiences, I have developed a strong client-oriented approach. In particular, I can analyse and meet clients’ requests at best, thanks to my interpersonal and design competences; I can deliver quality results, even when under pressure. I also have good knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes.
